A G500 in the back of a Reverb Ad

This caught my eye in this ad:

Nice D-46SB and a nice amp! Also nice to see that the seller explains the meaning of the "Z" on the back of the headstock.

Is the amp missing knobs or are the "proper" knobs gold rather than black?

And what is that device on the table? It looks like a hand cranked light circa 1900.

It would not surprise me if that picture was carefully staged.

The G500 knobs does not come with G-shield knobs like the Tamarack/Aspen/Sequoia - the ones in the pic are correct. They are also notorious for losing the little brown caps on top which you can see on the left-most knob. They are unobtanium, too.
