Have you ever watched the gulls mob a diving pelican as it comes up for air with fish in it's beak...snatch!!!

The more I look at that photo, the more I suspect it might have been a setup.
Knowing gulls and their behavior, all you have to do is set up the chum and they will come. Line up the lobster roll and the lighthouse and wait.

If she were innocently trying to photo the food and was suddenly attacked that close she'd likely have screamed and dropped the roll...and the phone into the ocean...not get a nice focused pic...:wink:
