The tuners might be still original but whoever "re-pained" the headstock seems to also have painted the white tuner buttons with black color. That's at least how it looks to me from the picture.
Stay away from that guitar! Not worth it.

These are nice little couch guitars. Congratulations.

I'd try something like Martin Eric Clapton's 'choice' strings on it to add some brightness to an otherwise quiet guitar. What's your playlist look like? Do you play flat picking or fingr? No windmilling!

All's well that ends well. I decided to let that Guild go, and soon after I found a M-20E in mint condition on Reverb for slightly more than 1000$. Priority FedEx shipping was included, so I received it in less than two days from the US!

It's a jewel of a guitar. Light, incredibly resonant for a small-body one and it really plays like butter. The LRBaggs Anthem pickup makes it even more versatile.

Congratulations!

C16 means California (=Oxnard) 2016 made. Headstock veneer, truss rod cover and tuners (or tuner buttons) are not original anymore.
Here's the model page: https://guildguitars.com/g/m-20-in-natural/

Ralf, I have a D40 with all the correct papers, and the serial number starts C160xxx The "C" I think??? means Cordoba...does the 160 mean it was made in '16? what do the last 3 numbers mean?
