Dread, my folks walked over (we are staying at a neighbors of theirs while out here) for tacos. i broke out the D35 after dinner.
i did not know how to start, so i asked my Dad to help me sing Take me out to ballgame. that went over ok, as my Mom kind of remembered all the words, but my Dad sang along to This Land is Your Land. then he paced around a bunch and eventually, Mom had him sit down on couch nearer to us, and he joined in a bit with some percussion and foot tapping to some other songs me and the family were doing. he was in and out but even when out of it, his foot or hands was tapping.

thanks for the encouragement to do this. it didn't last more than 20-30 mins but it was fun and i think my Mom really enjoyed it too.

Glad to hear it, Wood! Seems people just can't help but engage with the music, and music is the only thing many Alzheimer's patients will engage with. Keep on keepin' on.
