It looks like it's become very commercial. That would be unreal to trek all that way and then wait in line!

Next thing you know there will be a vending machine up there.

We must

"Climb every mountain
Search high and low
Follow every byway
Every path you know"

Climb every mountain
Ford every stream
Follow every rainbow
'Till you find your dream"

Hillary and Norgay conquered Everest May 29, 1953. A year later, Bannister beat the 4 minute mile, May 6, 1954. Since then, more people have climbed Everest than bested the 4 minute barrier.

How about nude hang gliding?
It actually turned out not to be as unique as I thought it was gonna be.
But I haven't found a good forum-friendly photo.
Yet.
(I'm working at it diligently, though)

The sad part is that buried in that group are some devoted climbers stuck behind some unqualified idiot(s) who can't strap on their own crampons.

You have to qualify to enter the Boston marathon...basically at sea level.

Qualifications for an Everest summit bid? You need a checkbook.

Stupid
