He played my D-25 M and my son's DV-52, I played his GF-30. Rosewood, maple, and mahogany, awesome guitars. Maximum fun was had by all.

It was a beautiful day to sit out on the deck in the shade and play Guilds. 70's & sunny.

We found out that we have different but complimentary styles of playing. Roger plays more open tunings, I play mostly standard tuning, but it sounded great when we collaborated on some songs that we both knew well, like "Willin." My daughter snagged some video on her phone, I'll see what I can do to get it posted here.

Those guitars sure photograph a lot better than I do. Next time, I'll try to open my eyes when someone takes my picture.

So left to right, that's Dread's DV-52ABHG, my GF-30, and Dread's D-25M.

We also had some good Kentucky bourbon and several IPA's, which no doubt impacted our playing, but the neighbors got a great concert

All I know is it was nice to sit on the other side of my D-25M for a change and listen to Roger coaxing some songs out of it.

There may have been a cause and effect going on there.....

good times!
