Hey, I have to ask. This might be an urgent matter.
A Starfire, serial nr 41954, possibly 1967. 1500€
Overall shape; good.
original case.

I will try to get pictures across but I fear there might be a sort of hurry.

Moved!

Probably earlier than 67. Those would have a prefix, like EK for an SFIll

You might get more views in FS/FT.
:friendly_wink:

I think it's a "should I buy this" thing, not a FS post. Need Hans to deciper the S/N. In 1967, a Starfire should have a two letter prefix (EK for SF II-III, EL for IV, EN for V, DB for VI, and DC for XIII), followed by a 3-4 digit number. I think that that 41954 S/N would put this at 1965, which is when they started to phase in the letter codes, but I'm using the internet to jog my memory, so that might be wrong.

As for value, which model it is, its condition, and its originality will make a lot of difference, but that could be a pretty good price for the European market.

That serial number would make it an instrument from 1965. No idea what model Starfire you're looking at, but with a forum name like mikbass I would think you're talking about a bass. However, 1500€ would be very little for an early Starfire Bass, so it's probably a Starfire IV or a III and if that's the case and the guitar is in good structural condition, I believe the asking price is reasonable.

Sincerely,

I've asked the OP to clarify this thread, specifically what is the particular instrument that the OP is selling.

Kakerlak had it right. This is not an FS/FT thread. But, anyway, I'll just close it. Good luck with the hunt mikbass.
