I really enjoyed that review. I’m always impressed by the depth of detail you go to to get the whole story. I can now speak (semi authoritatively) on something I didn’t know existed half hour ago! I’m set if some stranger wants to discuss the merits of Brian May treble boost pedals...

Great review! So it's still unknown who produced the 80ies version for Guild.

Stellar as usual! I love the message to Brian May embedded in the review - I hope he replies to it!

I could not find anything. I was kind of sad that I never received a reply from Bud Industries.

Great piece. I've never really gone after Brian May's sound, though my Dano-made Silvertone 1457 with both pickups on (in series!) —> Homebrew Germania 44 treble booster —> Vox AC15 Twin (Normal channel) takes me into that general territory. Except that I don't play at all like Brian May. :)

Did you get a reply from DrumBob by any chance?
Ralf

I don't recall if I asked him directly. Hopefully he'll see this thread and reply if he knows anything.

BTW I Mike from AnalogMan replied over on TGP and had this to say:

Nice post!

BUD industries just made the enclosure, they were used on the very early MXR pedals too (mid 70s). These are basically silicon versions of the Dallas Rangemaster, though the later one does have the buffer added. I have both versions, too.
