Maybe somebody has removed the logo? It was just fixed with two nails left and right as you see in this example (it's not from a F-212 case). Maybe there are two nail holes in your case?
I don't know if there was a generic case that looked the same. Also mind that at that time cases were not included in the price of the guitar but an extra, so a buyer could have taken a lower priced generic case. But also Guild offered various cases at different price points. But to me your case looks indeed exactly like the Guild one in the picture above.

Correct, that is not my guitar but a random internet picture only.

Congrats that one looks really nice. For me, it always conjures up memories of Paul Simon when I see one of these F-212's from the 60's, but it may have been a different model that he played.

Congratulations! That's a fine looking 12-stringer. And most important... the playability and tone make you happy!

Simon was known for F30's, don't recall him being known for playing a 12-er, but the F-112 was based on the F30 outline.

Paul Simon had an F-212, more than one F-312 and I've seen footage in which he played an F-412.

    Especially for Al:

    F-412 in 1969:

And much earlier a Guild T-100D when he used the name "Jerry Landis" in his first band "Tico & the Triumphs" and also later on.
