He is selling the Martin 12-string that he used to write "Wish You Were Here". No mention of Guilds.
He knows what to sell and what to keep !!!

estimates are crazy low! the black strat at $150,00? should bring at least 3 million.

others seem very low as well.

It feels like Gilmour not owning the Black Strat anymore would be a cataclysmic change in the guitar world. Seems like something really bad would happen, like cars not having tires anymore or trees not having trunks.

I find it odd to feel so thrown off by it not being his anymore!

As someone who was not influenced by Pink Floyd to any extent, I find the numbers being bandied about somewhat amusing. If I had that kind of money, I certainly would not be spending it on any of Gilmour's guitars but then I am having a hard time imagining any guitar that I'd pay five figures for. ;-)

i believe Garcia’s guitar is $2 million and that Gilmours black strat would easilly go for double or more

In this economy ??? Well, who knows, lets wait and see. But I agree, will probably fetch more than $ 150.000.
0001 will also sell well.
In any case he will give all money raised by the auction to charity! That's more worth mentioning!

Here's a good video, if it shows you should sign in just cancel and start again, it works afterwards without signing in:

Pretty dang close, sir.

Jim Isray (Baltimore Colts owner) dropped $3.975 million on the black Strat, another $175,000 for its case, and $1.095 million on the '69 Martin D-35.

Details here.

And here.

His Tacoma F-412 sold for $87,500.

GUILD, TAKOMA, 2006
AN ACOUSTIC 12-STRING GUITAR, F-412
Labeled GUILD / MODEL F-412, SERIAL NUMBER TJ114003
Assay notes:
This guitar was one of two Guild 12-string guitars supplied directly to David Gilmour by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in May 2007. At Gilmour’s request, Fender installed a second wound G string on this guitar, in place of the usual smaller octave G string, and tuned it D to D prior to shipping. Gilmour liked the richness of the sound and kept the guitar for studio use. Gilmour can be seen playing a portion of the title track of Pink Floyd’s 1975 album Wish You Were Here on this guitar during an interview on his Astoria houseboat studio for a three-part documentary The Story of the Guitar, hosted by Alan Yentob and aired on the BBC in October 2008. Gilmour had recorded the original intro to Wish You Were Here on a 12-string guitar. In response to Yentob’s question Why would you use a 12-string? Gilmour strums and replies: Well, just listen to that and you tell me. Gilmour later used this guitar during solo recording sessions at his East Sussex recording studio in 2013, which developed into his first solo project in almost a decade, the 2015 album Rattle That Lock.
