Good point., mellowgerman. I've yet to find a Casady to try out in the flesh, but have little doubt that I'd wind up preferring the SF's shorter scale length and narrower neck.

For me it's actually the shallow depth of the Casady neck that I'm not a big fan of. Side-to-side width of the fretboard and even overall scale length are not aspects that I'm too picky about. I just don't like flat/shallow very much, which the Casady has but I am kinda dealing with it because I dig the bass otherwise... Oh yeah, also strongly dislike the 3point bridge but the Hipshot Supertone replacement solves that issue

Good to know, because I find that sort of neck profile to be uncomfortable as well. The Reverend Dub King, though a short scale, also has a neck profile pretty much like that.
