They were indeed. Started out with six, then Gary/Jules Alexander left and was replaced by former New Christy Minstrel Larry Ramos. Then Alexander wanted to come back and they became seven. They had previously recorded a song Six Man Band. It became Seven Man Band. I saw them in concert in the fall of '68. A tremendous show in spite of the venue. They recorded a concert in Salt Lake City a short time later that was pretty close to the concert I saw. There is still an Association touring with Jim Yester and Russ Giguere from the original group. The late Larry Ramos's brother Del plays with them as does the late Brian Cole's son. I think that Alexander and Terry Kirkman occasionally appear with them but rarely these days.

"Cherish", with the lights turned low, was how we ended every Jr. High dance 50 years ago.

I'm kind of ashamed to admit this, but I like the David Cassidy version of Cherish better.
(He just has such angst in his voice.)
