I'll bet Clay Sr. loves when you play and sing.

i hope he is able to make it out here for a couple months this winter, dread, i will make a point to play for him more. his mind resets itself every morning, but his body is strong. i think he remembers me playing guitar for sure.

No flies on the song or the guitar! How are your vocals? That piece needs some words of hope to go along with it.

And please remind me why you did not bond with the SCGC?

Neal, I am so not a singer. and i am terrible at writing lyrics. however, if you want that tune, please consider it a gift to you. you can figure out the progression, it is pretty easy. then expand on it and make it your own with words. just promise to record it at one of your gigs, i would love to hear it fully baked out. thanks bro.

The working title would be "Things I Think I know Now". That is what I was singing as I was listening, anyway.

Given all that I was unsure of back when
And the wisdom that age now allows
My view becomes clearer the more I breathe in
There are things that I think I know now

It is just too bassy/bottomy sounding. I prefer the tighness of my Guild dread/ Now, if the bluegrass musician pulls out, I will be keeping the Cruz. But if i can get some $ to help others and still get a D35 out of it, I am good.

Interesting you mentioned that ww, my D-25M has big time bottom end, I often use it to thump out the bass lines when playing with other guitars. Maybe that's the difference between the all-'hog D-25's and the archbacks.

HIS "holy grail".
The first time I heard you use term it was about all-hog archbacks and I assumed it was used in the traditional sense of something rare and almost impossible to find, regardless of how desirable it might have been to you personally.
And all-hog flatbacks are more common than the all-hog archbacks.
Or, were, a least.
It's possible the vicissitudes of time have taken their toll to the point where that's no longer true.
(And that's a lyric from my new song, "Ode to the letter T")

yes, good point again Al. I still consider the all hog arched to be the real snipe hunt of the Guild D25 lore. anyway, that D35 on local CL is gone. it happens...

I will just wait it out...

:friendly_wink:

Y'could probl'y work "slings'n'arrows" in there somewhere too, 'cause I think the guy who wrote that's dead.

In my mind, it is a Parliament Funkadelic kind of tune. Lots of nasty bass.

thanks Joe. and thanks for calling me Clay, my dad's name. He is really struggling with altzeimers and I am proud to have his first name. the name Clay is starting to have more and more meaning for me as I get older and he gets older. It might sound weird, but I bet some understand what I am saying.
I'm named after my Dad so I'm getting it. :peaceful:

"Bootsy's boots have been done in by the vicissitudes of time..
The stompin' wore 'em mighty thin but the music was sublime"

Could we work a little Living Colour in there too?
