This is one of the reasons that I enjoy hanging around here on LTG. I am constantly being introduced to new music and great, new (to me), guitar players. I like this arrangement of Amazing Grace... with the chording and bass runs underneath the ringing slide tones. He has some serious "spidery" fingers! Check out how he is fretting bass runs with the tip of his ring finger (with the slide). Most of the time I'm just trying to keep the slide from banging against the fretboard. :eek:nthego:

Joseph Spence was a Bahamian guitar player who was often covered by Ry Cooder. He had a very syncopated, ragtime style of playing.
