Sold the X79-3 to a guy on TGP. I have a fair bit of packing experience with guitars, and yet it STILL arrived like this:

Of course I issued a full refund and got it back today. After some tightbond I think this guitar is destined to be wall art in my office.

I think the worst part for me is that I go out of my way to warn about this possibility in my reviews of the X79s.

Yes, it's a shame, but an easy fix and no reason why you should put it on the wall when it'll play fine.

Gary that's one of the easiest fixes!! All the grain is ready to line up again!! unless you want perfect. That's harder to come by......

That sucks. But fix it and sell it, the repair will be almost unnoticeable. If I wanted one of those strange beasts, a small repair wouldn’t put me off.
