I love the fact that the cable goes nowhere on this guitar! :hypnotysed:

How about the fact that there are no wires to connect the knobs or pickups or anything else for that matter? :) I've always loved that pic, though.

I can't find it but we have discussed this ad before. The questions I recall were how much of the "guitar" actually had a physical existence and how much was the result of the photo editing technology of the time? I desperately wanted the guitar body to be real but people with more knowledge than me (and there are many on LTG) convinced me that was not necessary to produce the image.

That's what I was talking about - it's so strange, but yet so cool. If it was real, it would be quite a collector's item!

I have a hard time believe that the guitar body was virtual. At that time in history? No way.

I think it's made of ice. The photographer had to work VERY quickly an it explains why the guitar has never shown up for sale.

Guild - The Big Beat Flyer

A while back one of our members had been posting some Guild advertisements from magazines. Everybody here on the Forum seemed to enjoy seeing them.

So I thought I would share some of my Guild Literature with you all.

This is the binder of the Literature I have accumulated over the years:

I happen to have my binder organized from newest material in the front to oldest in the back. I like it that way because I like to go back in history. I've been told this is wrong and I should have it from the oldest in the front to the newest in the back to follow the history of Guild. Any thoughts on this? (See Poll.)

Here are some random scanned catalog pages:

Have you seen other THE BIG BEAT flyers like the one pictured above with Gary Lewis and the Playboys (and others) ?

THANKS!

You know Kurt, I'm a fan and love the literature. More interested in the stuff AFTER Han's book let off, but if you're gonna beat him to it..... take it anyway you want. I'll pay attention.... I'll start to pay attention about 1994 and after....... okay?? :devilish:
