Hi,

I have very recently picked up a lovely D60nt from 1987. I know these are from the Gruhn/Walker era and it is indeed a very fine guitar. Has anybody got any more info on this model?

Thanks.

I'd say those are the original tuners. Nice guitar!

I like those inlays best of all the Guilds, including my F-412/512 and my D-70, very sweet indeed.

Welcome to LTG. And congratulations on a beautiful Guild Dreadnought guitar. From the photos, it appears to be a particularly choice selection of rosewood on the back and sides! I hope you stick around and participate in the Forum. It is a great place to discuss music, instruments and the everyday joys & pains of life.

That sums it up nicely, Bill.

Beautiful guitar and welcome! Since the fret markers already have been mentioned I'll add love the herringbone rosette.

Thank you for the comments. I have had a couple of JF60s in the past and passed on my last one to a good friend. Had the chance to play them together last night. The tonewoods on my dread do seem particularly fine and it sounds amazing.
