I was under the impression that a X161 was a late 80's X160 mini Manhattan X170 with a plane unbound neck, chrome hardware, wooden bridge paired with a Guildsby.

I have obtained along the way a X161 Savoy TRC. I installed it on the late 80's X160 for fun.

I pulled out a X160 Rockibilly to play and began to think about the TRC. The Rockibilly is a full size archtop. The 80's X160 a smaller mini Manhattan. So what is a Savoy? Isn't that also a full body archtop guitar?

The X160 from the '80s is kind of a low-key X170.

The X160 from the '90s/00s is sort of a spruced up X150.

they're completely different animals.

So what is a X161 Savoy? Savoy is a full sized archtop...correct?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what guitar went with a TRC that says "X161 Savoy".

I'm not sure there's a difference, but I could be wrong. Many guitars from that era have numbers and names. The X170 is the X170 Manhattan, for example.
