As I've played at too many festivals around here to know I can't be without some sort of bug dope, I have ended up with festival and travel guitars without NCL (or shellac) finish.

Then again, I once damaged the finish on a guitar just sweating on it. That one didn't last long with me. Had it buffed out and moved it to someone else. To paraphrase Salvador Dali "I am the chemical."
