Spence, unfortunately, came to a very sad ending. Moby Grape was a really great band, at their peak, IMHO. One of the best of their time.

Great photos! I really like the one of the Traveling Wilburys... all lined up with their Gretsch guitars.

Did you catch the fact that Mike Bloomfield is playing thru a Guild amp? This photo was taking at the Newport Folk Festival. Later that night, Dylan would "go electric" with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band!

Maybe they thought it would complement playing through a Bassman head?
