Congrats to Matt and he may, one day, get a more expensive guitar but it will not include a heart and soul. That one does!

Yeah, he was pretty thrilled. Nothing like a sweet sounding acoustic that plays like butter.

Yeah, that's the idea Kit, a lifetime guitar!

My friend hand tooled the leather strap for me; he got the color to blend real nice with the 'burst. Hard to see but he set a black stripe into the outer edges of the strap too.

Congratulations, dread! What great parental moment and accomplishment. A classic Guild is something he'll remember his whole life. Great pic, too!

Very nice !

My kid is just good at music and learning instruments, but it doesn't seem to do it for the fun of it. We got him a Yamaha DGX-660 for his graduation, this year, since he's in piano class at school. He's doing well, but, again, he doesn't just sit and play for fun. Kid's they days are real head scratchers ! Glad you're son is enjoying HIS gift !

Thanks mav, actually he just graduated college. (He only got to POSE with the guitar for his high school senior pictures, LOL)

He earned a Bachelors (cum laude) in Facilities Management, and already landed a project manager job with a local university! He's got 2 weeks before the new job starts. This boy is getting after it!
