Only recently was I made aware of the real meaning of those initials, myself.
Here, in fact (but not in this thread).
Prior to that I had every reason to believe it was about the auto maker, myself.
I mean, come on, the first verse kicks off with "Driving in my car.."
And they were early users of my beloved Wankel motor.
(In fact, in regards to considering the earlier "Vincent" reference, Norton even put out a rotary powered beast once upon a time.
Even saw a revival just last year:
Legendary Norton engineer builds 200bhp, 136kg race bike
200 horses, 300 lbs.
