Easy for me - I would keep the one model I have - my Guild D64!

With all due respect, my 1932 12 fret Gibson L-00 and my 1933 National style "0" pretty much scratched all of my itches....although my D-50 with the new, old stock herringbone top is right up there.

I like my Guild OM-120 but I could afford a Taylor 326 and would love to own that one, but I have other priorities, cash wise, right now so I will stick with the Guild.

If it came down to just one acoustic, I don't think you could go wrong with a Martin D-28. There's not much that axe can't handle.

Geez that’s tuff to answer and it divides us Guild lovers into groups that could be perceived in various ways lol

I’ll go with Guild over the big 3 , Taylor,Gibson and Martin but kick in custom builds or more specialized builders to the mass produced like Santa Cruz , Collings , Lowden , Rosawood etc , it becomes much harder to decide . 🙂

I think if I had to pick one it would be a mid sixties D 18. Odd because I've never owned one, but it does everything well. Has a nice low end but is fairly balanced. Loud enough too. My Guild D 35 is more evenly balanced, My 65 Epiphone Texan is what I want to sing with, and my Martin M36 scratches the full rich rosewood itch.

But the right D 18 is a marvel.

Easy, my nightingale fulfills most needs in a very pleasant way. For bass it would be my lefay custom.

Of the big 4, Guild, Gibson, Martin, Taylor I've owned some of the standard bearers of each, (eg Martin D-28).

So if we are asking about readily available mainstream guitars or models it would be my Guild D-40. No question. Well, that new to the kennel D-25 is pushing it's weight around a bit.

As far as brands, ditto on the Guild

At this moment in time, if I had to absolutely pick just one, it would be my newly acquired SJ200. Ask me again in a month, my answer will probably be different.

That's easy. My 2006 F-512. I've gushed on and on about that guitar before, so I won't bore you guys again.

That said, I have two other guitars that I would keep for sentimental reasons (My Favilla C-5 classical and my Ibanez AW-75 12-string). The Favilla was my mother's guitar that she learned on in the '60s and which subsequently I learned on in the '70s. The Ibanez was my first new guitar bought with my own savings from an entire summer's worth of work in 1981. The Ibby holds its own, by the way, against any other mahogany 12-string dread I've ever played.
