there is an off-shoot story near the very end of the article re Bruce's Nebraska and how he recorded it. awesome! thanks Walrus.

At one time I had both a Portastudio and an Oberheim DMX (mentioned in the same paragraph as Nebraska). Still have the Tascam but the Oberheim is long gone…got that one backwards!
