It DOES look like an archback, can't see a brace, and it does have a very common color scheme for D25's with Natural top (D25NT).
I can only think of 3 other archback dreads off the top of my head, D4 (coloration's not quite right, think they generally had lighter sides), D26 (special limited run of D25, also had lighter sides), and G37/D30 (maple, again, don't think finish color's right)
Oh yeah there were also 3 a/e cutaway dreads that had arched backs, your choice of 'hog, maple or rosewood.
But this obviously ain't one o' those.

hmmmmm......I just don't think Cherry would actually look like that even allowing for bizarre lighting effects.
But I don't know what else it would be,...don't think they offered BR on the archbacks... too dark for aged Natural and probably Amber too (not sure it was offered on '25's))...think Woodgrain Red is also out..looks almost like Tennessee Orange to me, but think that was D30's only....Aha!! I think it's actually a D25M!

Google Images search'll turn up a bunch of D25M's which, most commonly ARE the 'hog stained spruce tops although we've seen at least a couple of actual 'hog tops labeled that way.

Photo color analysis on un-calibrated computer monitors is an opportunity to confuse judgement calls with facts and sometimes confuse cause and effect. With that in mind, if the choices are cherry or mahogany, I'm going with the latter.

No, dude, it was this one - and it's already gone, sorry.

Next time you want a uber-rare GD25 pink sparkly Daisy Rock, you gotta move fast! :biggrin-new:

Between those 2, your CH looks lot redder than the video under what I assume is more "natural" lighting.
But curiously it does look very close to the first one I posted in that photo line-up, the one from Guitar Center.
The problem is the lighting in that video, and what the ambient lighting coming in from the window might be reflecting off of to make a Cherry top look so yellowed out, on my display (brand new LCD type).
The lighting on his hands and face suggest to me it's not red enough to lighten up Cherry that much, but I'm not married to the assumption.
Reason I posted several different "M"'s was to show a range of variance that COULD be blamed on lighting, let alone year-to-year differences and aging effects.
And Cherry actually is my favorite finish color, that's why it just didn't "look right" to me at first.
Still, unless we could actually find and ask the guy, we'll probably never know, and I'm ok with that.
:friendly-wink:
