And, by the way, mav, I think you're right that we don't talk a whole lot about the F-47, but it's been a popular guitar for a very long time and a lot of LTGers have 'em. I'd really love to have one in the stable myself. That model keeps on comin' back in one form or another, while the F-50s and D-55s get all the attention and recognition. :)

My point exactly.
But I gotta go back and check the book on what Hans said :
"If we're talking '70s then the F-48 would be a full 17-inch wide body; so basically the same size as an F-50(R)."
Thought F48's were always 17"?
I might be eatin' some crow here on Monday....
