Newark St. Minibuckers: 2 or 4-Conductor (for Out-of-Phase Mod)

Does anyone here know if the reissue minis are 2 or 4-wire? My buddy has a new RI Starfire V and wants to do the out-of-phase mod in the middle position using a pull switch on one of the tone controls.

If not, has anyone tried modding the pickup to add an extra conductor?
