No, it's not my new band name, LOL!

I just made a pot of my Mom's old recipe oyster stew. Amazing! I almost forgot how good it was.

My Mom would make it for my Dad and I; we were the only ones in the family that would eat it.

Simple recipe: small batch = 2C milk, 8 oz. oysters with natural juice, 1 T butter, salt and pepper to taste. Heat slowly, stirring constantly so the milk doesn't curdle or stick to the bottom of the pan. To die for!

Your post reminded me of this song by Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys. It's a short song and you'll need to get to about the 2:00 minute mark for the payoff. This particular collection of tunes from the 1900's to about the 1940's were considered to be of a risque nature for the period of time they were released.
As an aside, I became familiar with her music a few years ago when I discovered that this collection contains a version of "Night Wind". My uncle's brother (Bob Rothberg) was the lyricist for that song.
