Hmmm. . . is it the Landmaster from the film Damnation Alley?

Aside from hot women who dig Jan Michael Vincent, you could put bread in it.
Landmaster

GAD, you buy LOTS of thingies. This post is not news. Based on what little I know, it could very well be music making thingy or picture taking of music making thingies thingy.

You bought a health insurance policy because you're now self-employed but not old enough for Medicare?

:)

I'm thinking if it were musical or photographic equipment or sky watching equipment you (GAD) would not have been so 'coy'. Should we start going through lists of power tools?

Ok. Two things answered at once.
2) Does it make a musical sound without electricity?

Yes, just like a bucket.

I wish!

What about something that makes music from pictures?

I've had my own health-insuranse while self-employed. No sir, I didn't like it.

I do like power tools. I tend to favor Bosch.

Hmm...stringed instruments make harmonic sounds made of sines and cosines. Buckets, drums, etc make sounds defined by Bessel and Neuman functions which are not harmonic.
So it seems this item isn't a musical instrument or music reproduction item.
3) Does it require electricity?

LOL - nice!

I've got enough razors, though:

The chassis is a great guess, though! Even if it isn't a winner.

If I were to get a chassis I'd get one of these:

Arista-7500R-Network-Switch-Quicklook.jpg

Arista 7500R switch. There's actually a bigger one that supports 576 100Gbps ports.

I'd need to upgrade the power in my garage, though.

One of my Chiefs in the Navy's 1st assignment was with a lighter-than-air squadron! He was an Aviation Electrician's Mate.
