Anyone know where I can find a Guild F512 12 string? They don't seem to be in production right now. Thanks

Welcome to LTG! Great guitars! They're not in production right now, you're right. They occasionally turn up for sale via the usual online places -- eBay, Reverb, etc. I have a Westerly-made F512 that I've been debating selling as I don't play it as much as my F412. Where are you located?

Stupid question probably... but what is the difference between the F512 and the F412?

The F512 is solid rosewood back and sides. The F412 is unbraced, arched maple laminate back, maple sides. Both are killer jumbo 12ers. :encouragement:

:) bones,

first, welcome to LTG!!!!!

My advice... PATIENCE. There are many, many F-512s out there in the world, but they don't trade often. As you probably already know, the 512 (and its maple brother 412) are the flagship 12ers in the Guild line. Also note that for a while Guild called these guitars JF-65-12 (F-412) and JF-55-12 (F-512) for a while, and with those model names they are less recognizable.

Oh, and we can hope that Cordoba Music Group will choose to build new versions of these guitars when they are able.

Anyway, best wishes, and again welcome to LTG!!!

Welcome! Great sounding guitar, but my F-512 neck was too wide for my chording hand so I sold it a few years ago. No better sounding 12 string around though! I still miss it.
