    All 4 cans are capacitors. Each can actually has multiple caps in it, from 2-4. These are electrolytic filter caps, which will most likely need replacing if they are original to '66. I replaced mine with current multi cans; another option is to replace them with individual filter caps underneath.

    The cardboard tubes are isolating a couple of electrolytic capacitors in the B+ of the power supply. It's a voltage doubling circuit, so, if they were not isolated, you would be vulnerable to a shock of 400-530 volts, depending on the T-Bass. The two other silver can caps are also electrolytics and part of the B+.

    greetings,,,Im a new member...I have BEIGE Thunderbass amp with 8417.....8 tubes total ....7247 driver and 12ax7 on the bias board...I could use the exact schemtic... all I can find is the 6550 and 6l6gc schemtic...anyone have one....greatly appreciated
