So I've gone a bit bananas on the late 70's S-100s. I actually don't remember how many I have at the moment. Did I sell the second black one? Or is it in a case somewhere?

ANYway, unless there's a walnut/rootbeer 76/77 out there that I don't know about, I think the cupboard is full.

'74 Hand-carved Mermaid
'76 S-90 Cherry
'76 S-100 Cherry
'77 S-100-C "Nature Boy"
'77 S-100 Sunburst
'77 S-100 Black (x2?)
'77 S-100 White
'77 S-100 White w/dot inlays

And yes, this is the tease before the pics. Pics coming soon!

Cool. Can't wait to see your pics. My 1972 S-90 will be back in my hands next week after a refret at the luthier. I can't wait to get it back.

Aw, we need new pics of The Mermaid now! The old ebay listing isn't showing any images.

Well, this is an interesting twist: Chicago Music Exchange sold me a very nice '76 that they listed as "cherry". got it out of the case and it's a beautiful guitar, but it is a whole lot closer to Walnut than it is to cherry. Of course, the label inside should reveal the truth, but I got called out of town before I was able to investigate further.

So that's where that went. I had brief thoughts about getting it as a backup for my S-100 so I could try putting flatwounds on it.
