The pics are showing up fine for me. See if you all can see this one. I just copied his photo address from the pic he posted and reposted it.

I don’t see pics?
And I have to admit, I’m not quite up on 12’s.
I believe the F512 is spruce on rosewood, with all the bling.
The F412 is spruce on arched maple with all the bling. These are like the F50r and F50 of 12 strings, right? I’ve been kind of looking.

Then I think there is the F312, and F212 and F112..and the JF30-12, the JF55-12, and JF65-12?
And there’s G models as well? Dreads?

Someone give me the rundown on these? Obviously, I’d only be interested in the jumbos...unless they made a G-41-12.... ooooh!

Very nice, Rev. Shawn. Congratulations.
Seems the TRC Police are getting a little soft around here lately. They didn't let me off so easily way back when with my first post. Then again, I can understand :friendly_wink:

Weird thing is I saw all of the pics last night with no problem. Today, I see blanks. Google photos has some issues, I think. Free pic sharing is getting harder and harder to do!

Agreed, my friend. Photobucket wanted me to pay for third party sharing - big no there. Google Photos is free, so I'm not sure why entering the image address is working for some and not others...hmmmm

I've experimented with google photos - so far, great for posting links to
photos, and once viewing an album inside google photos, wonderful to be able to
quickly zoom in on details in high res images and be able to move quickly and
effortlessly through images - but google photos as far as I
have found is not intended as of now to be used for true 3rd party hosting.
What happened when I tried to do that was the same as what's happened
here - images were there for a few hours, or overnight if memory serves - then poof - gone.

IME imgur is a great way to go for posting photos in LTG!

In the meanwhile Shawn, how about posting a link to the google photos album?
Congrats on the new guitar! I've become a recent convert to Guild dread 12's,
previously figured "well... how could a dread 12 possibly be better in
any way than my jumbo F212XL..?"... but guess what? It's the dread I've
been reaching for lately over the jumbo. Easier playing action and
more comfortable, for starters.

Tom Petty was on to something :peaceful:

Imgur to the rescue!

Our buddy Hans corrected me, though; this isn't a '79, its an '80. Do I care? Nah; though there's something about having a '70's era Guild for me. One day....

No pics of the back because its a really dark stain and not much to see other than the buckle rash it came with :)

Oh yeah, now we're talkin' :applouse:

Nice pics of a beautiful dread 12, congrats!

My D15-12 - I kinda think of it as the G212's little sister.

Rich,

Current setup is just white paper backdrops on 3 sides and a
large overhead diffused fluorescent light, a Canon EOS Rebel T5i and a tripod.
Edit: and a small guitar stand that's been cut down / hacked up and strategically placed to be mostly unseen,
also some tweaks in photoshop on the white background if needed.
Getting better for a non-photographer but light years away
from where I'd like to be. Thanks for the encouragement.

Did Tom Petty play a D25-12, D212, or a D15-12 like yours Bonneville? Just curious as in the photo you posted of Petty with his Guild 12 I can't make out whether that top is Hog or spruce with the Cherry finish on it.

TX...

He didn't play a D15-12 as far as I know, they
were always D212s or D25-12s.

Hans weighed in on the question here
http://www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/sh...ild-sighting&p=1649562&viewfull=1#post1649562
and here
http://www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/showthread.php?141773-Guild-sighting-at-Tom-Petty-concert

After studying many photos, still not sure if the tops on Tom Petty's Guild dread
12s were amber-brown or cherry, or he might have had one or several or a room full of each.
If you search google images for "Tom Petty Guild 12 string" or variants thereof, an interesting
selection of photos appear, and in some the guitar top looks brown and in others, dark cherry.
From what Hans wrote, he used at least two different Guild dread 12s,
which can be observed in the differences between the pickguards and the rosettes.
