All my life I wanted a Guild 12 string...and today she arrived. Bought her on Reverb for an insanely great price. OHSC, decent amount of finish checking, tuners are in amazing shape, a bit of buckle rash on the back but no biggie, neck is perfect, bridge is fine, action is wicked....even came with an LR Baggs Lyric installed. They put a fresh set of strings on it for me before they shipped it and MAN.....she rings out for days. I'm gonna have fun this weekend getting to know her better!!!! She makes a great companion to the DV62.

Good looking G212 Shawn. I had a 1976 model G212 that was an awesome guitar. Someone would up offering the right price so I sold it but that is one of the few I wish I had back. Should be a great counterpart to your DV62, Hope you Enjoy it!

Just to clarify the truss rod cover does appear upside down on the G212.

I can't see your pictures, Shawn, but I'm pretty sure it's Sitka spruce that was used on the G212. It certainly is on my G312 (which is rosewood rather than mahogany back/sides).

Hmmm...wonder why you can't see the pics. Is there a setting I should change, I wonder?

I would have LOVED a G312 - love that rosewood. But I'm having a ball with this one and am super psyched to have it!

You know what...I'm incorrect. The specs only say "Spruce" so maybe not Sitka...
Very different from the Sitka I ever seen , almost thought Adi .

Chalk it up to Willie Fritscher, I posted this elsewhere, earlier today:
http://www.westerlyguildguitars.com/articles/woodselection.pdf

During extensive exploration of the subject a couple of years back, no evidence was ever produced to show that Guild ever used Adi prior to Tacoma, and in fact the sheer scarcity of it in sizes suitable for instrument tops prior to the '90's tends to support that. Reason offered was that it was overharvested during WWII and had only begun to yield usable trees again in the '90's.

I can't see the pics either. What's going on?

Hmmm , Browser update maybe ? Flash not up to date ? Corrupt active X files ?
When’s the last time you cleaned out the pc ? Firm believer in Ccleaner 😎
I dunno I see them fine 😁
