Ah, me too! For me it's correct, but given your guitar purchases, it's not correct for you! Now I'm less impressed!

Well to be fair, I do have (counts on fingers) five or more similar hollow bodies.

None of the guitarists influenced me. So I picked one. Now I'm supposed to be playing a Les Paul.

I got Martin Dreadnought. Which isn't right. I suppose if I owned one I'd play it, for sure. It didn't pick up on my favoring smaller guitars but... it's just a silly quiz, right?

p.s. - what IS "shoe gaze"?

Why doesn't it ever tell anyone they play a P.O.S. import plywood guitar? The reason is the quiz is a marketing tool that I firmly believe takes your info and then suggests a guitar you wouldn't normally play planting the seed that you need to purchase that type of guitar off of Reverb. I would love to see a result that says you should be playing a Plastic Esteban Acoustic! That will most likely never happen as Reverb can't make any money off of those, LOL!

Thanks. Interesting to learn that it's reviving as "nu gaze". :moody:

"Shoegaze" is what I was listening to a lot of in the early '90s. A cousin took me to a Slowdive show in London, summer '92, and I was hooked. They're still around, after a long hiatus, and put out a new (& excellent) album earlier this year. They recorded a ton of stuff for their second album, Souvlaki, and many of the B-sides and outtakes are IMO superior to the album songs. (YouTube has some good compilations.) I also love the sound of My Bloody Valentine, though their music is kinda formless (which is intentional, I guess).

The survey told me I'm a Tele guy, which is pretty much right.

it said "gibson or similar hollowbody" and shows a picture of a vintage looking 335/339 (the one w inlays) and 2 dog ear P-90s. I play many different types, but that is basically correct, for the most part.

odd though, that I answered I play on my front porch, and they did not recommend an acoustic. of course, I did -also- answer yes to "a handful of pedals."

Pegged me to a Martin dreadnought.
I think it was because I said I defy categorization.
Thought that woulda tipped 'em off to brand me as a Guild man.
