For what it's worth, I replaced both of the speaker with Ragin' Cajuns...it sounds great. Both of the speakers went out and I donated them to a friend to re-cone. The RCs sound great despite the embarrassing name. Anyway, thought I'd throw that out there. I played a show at a local tap house here in San Jose (just my Maverick and my Slim Jim) and the following band's guitarist asked me if he could use the amp instead of the house amp. He loved it so much. Anyway, great great great amp. If you have one...keep it!

Was always under the impression that most non-Bax stacks could only cut, not boost.
