Getting a Guild Starfire III with Guild Vibrato and cannot find accurate inofo (even on here) that dates the guitar. Serial number: KSG1511738 would indicate it's made in Korea, but seller insists it's USA made. So........... where, when, etc?

I always wonder if people who list guitars as "made in the USA" which obviously are not are trying to rip people off or just thick..........
