X-170 Serialnr?

Hi I'm offered to buy a X-170 with serialnr AK071004.
Can someone tell me what year it was made and where?
Seller says 1979 but I don't think that's correct?

Hello Johnny,

AK071004 would not be a correct serial number. It's most likely serial # AK170004 and that would make it an instrument from 1994 that was made in QWesterly, R.I.

Maybe you should have the seller check the back of the headstock. If it's something else than # AK170004, just get back with me.
