Finally decided to stop messing around and get my dream acoustic, a JF-65/F-50. Made an offer on Reverb and got a good deal on this, a 1998. Couple dings and scratches, but plays great. Just put on some new strings and it sounds unbelievable. Everything I was hoping for. Bucket list guitar.

And a short clip.

Congratulations! Those late '90s post-Fender instruments were the best to come out of the Westerly plant.

Thank you! I had an '81 F-40 and a '96 JF-30 leading up to this that were both nice, but this is THE ONE.

Bigtime major congrats! I've got the same finish on my rosewood version. Its droolworthiness just doesn't wear off.

Congrats on your Bucket List Guitar Acquisition! May you enjoy it for years to come. Just something about a Guild Jumbo that sets them apart from the rest of the pack. It sure is good looking!

Congrats on your new Guild. I just got a '98 D30 AB on Reverb and I love it. Something about those '98 Westerlys! Must've been a good year.

Ha! Thanks. I shoot a lot of videos on that throne. I wish I could say something about how the acoustics are the best in there, but really it's just a tucked away spot where the toddler doesn't roam or next to where he sleeps, so it works.

Thanks! I had never considered antique burst, I was always into the standard natural maple look and my F-40 and JF-30 were both that, but I'm very pleased with the aesthetics on this one. The finish is really striking; the flame on the back is really 3-D looking. Very vibrant.

Congratulations! Classic Guild jumbo sounds.

And you may be onto something...

Imagine if studios, everywhere, were equipped with the same protection, and you held the patent:

Never ding your walls or guitars again. It's so obvious!
