Yeah, I probably should have worn a Guild t-shirt, but the ones I have all suck.

Awesome! I've always wanted to go. Is the building being used by anyone these days?

Yes, though from what I understand not the entire building. On the far end from the first pic is this view:

The occupant on this end is the Jonnycake Center food pantry and thrift store:

Can't find very much change in that pics over the last 7.5 years …

Nice, although my first thought was that you had been to Grot's Museum :) If it was taken this weekend good luck with travel, presumably on I95 or trying very hard to avoid it.

Well, I can certainly understand why the roof started leaking!

One of the first things I thought of, too.

LOL. Now I need to think up another clever phrase if and when I do!

wheres the X-80 Swan?

Patience. :)

The first thing that struck me is the fact that the building is not as large as I thought it would be. If not for the very distinctive roof I would have driven right on by, but the guy I was visiting worked there for a year and had lived in Westerly his whole life.

It was a very unique feeling standing there, and I told my daughter (my travel partner for the day) that of all the guitars she's seen me own, probably 99% of them came from that building.

Wonder what the Hoboken building looks like today.

You made me curious. Using Hans' book I found the address (which is not Newark Street - that's on the other side) and used Google maps to grab this pic. This pic was taken in 2016, so it's pretty current. Hans' book says that Guild occupied two areas on the 6th floor.

A couple of articles about the building:
