Hello all! I'm new to this site. I have been online trying to find info on dating an acoustic guitar that is a d50 sunburst crafted in corona, California. The serial #CVB000219. It is beautiful and belonged to country music singer Terri Clark, I have the notarized paper as proof. I am interested in selling this guitar and am trying to find the value of it. Thanks for any help or info.

Welcome. Folks with better info than me will chime in about price and date. I will say that any value we suggest will be for the instrument alone, and not because it was associated with any particular person.

Hi. First model year for Corona was '02 and number looks low enough to be that or possibly an '03.
For absolute accuracy of date, suggest the man who wrote a book about Guild, Hans Moust:

He's our resident authority.

Value of guitar itself is very closely related to condition, any added value due to the fact it was owned by a published performer will probably best be established by an actual appraiser, preferably with experience in those kinds of instruments.
It might be worth a lot to a big Terri Clark fan and have no added value at all for a lot of people.

Welcome hdockery! According to the Blue Book of acoustic guitars a Mint condition model Corona Made D50 is valued at $1100-$1300. An Average condition model is valued at $750-$900. Condition is everything when it comes to resale. There is no difference in price for sunburst as opposed to natural finish. These prices are for the guitar with no affiliation to who owned it. I'm not sure if there is a Big market for Terry Clark stuff as she has been out of mainstream music for years now. If it had belonged to someone more current that is widely known today or possibly a Legend of music from the past that may add some value to it. Not saying Terry Clark isn't great just don't know how much of a market there is for her memorabilia. I would suggest like others have mentioned taking it to a specialist in musical memorabilia to determine how much of an add on if any there is to the value of the guitar. Just for common knowledge I see Corona D50's in great shape selling for anywhere from $1000-$1100 on ebay regularly. Hope this helps and have a good one!
