That's indirect light, I hope, which should darken the grain a bit. Already the grain on the 2013 is a little more pronounced than the 2014. Both look like very nice spruce tops, with nice silking.

Actually it's the UV in direct sunlight which darkens lignins in the wood and yellows out NCL itself.
That's why my D25 shows such a dark stripe down the center, readily visible in my vids over in Member's Music.

My acoustics "live" under species-appropriate conditions in indirect light - always outside of the case - but often get played in direct light :smug:
