    Richard & Mimi ??

I know some of ya are gonna know that's gotta be "Farina".

Heard on one of the local independant PBS stations this morning mixed in with cuts from Tom Rush and Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.
Never heard this before, but gawd I love that "60's" sound.
I like the modern "retro" groups because they're payin' homage to it, but there's still nothing like the original:

You'll never get this stuff on the Classic Rock monopoly stations....

Love the way he's playing that dulcimer in the photo! I always sat mine on my lap....

Freewheelin' is one of my all time fave albums. Maybe that and Who's Next, oh and Leo Kottke's armadillo album (6 and 12 string guitar). I could have just those 3 and be ok. Well, maybe add Boston's Boston to that, then I am good...

Analog and the big wheel tapes when recording. Nothing beats that. Digital offers its advantages, but I find the overall tone to be lacking a natural balance.

Man, I loved playing a dulcimer too, back in the day. It seemed to me Richard and Mimi were on the edge of making it and being almost underground.... Of course, underground was where it was at back then!
