Looking for info from the experts on a late reissue S-100. I checked the sticky thread first and didn't find what I was looking for. What pickups should be in a late 90's to 2000 era S-100? Did they all have covers?

Thanks in advance.

Should be Seymour Duncan's: 59 and a JB

Edit: no, they did not all have covers.

Thanks. Now that you wrote it, I saw it on GAD's page. I went there previously too and missed it. I must be getting blind. I am going to check out an S-100. Pickups don't have covers.

I think some of the reissue S100's came with open bobbin SD pickups in the 90's. Some of the Bluesbirds also came thst way.

I am going by memory of guitars I've seen over the years so may be wrong. Hans is the guy who will know ghe pickup options on reissue S100's.

I don't recall ever seeing those except where people had swapped them, but "the facts" and "what I remember" are rarely consistent anymore. :grumpy:

That is correct, but it happened much earlier. If the S-100 that Neonmoony is looking at is from the 1999-2000 period then the pickups were most likely replaced, or the covers removed.
