You are part way there. Then you have to click on the picture icon and then put the URL for the hosted picture into the popup box that appeared. Then it will appear in your post like this:

Facebook images are harder to work with than photo sites because they are not saved with the proper suffix. I was able to link this image by right-clicking on the image, select "view image" and clicking on that. I copied the URL and put that in the pop up box from the picture icon and for some reason that worked. It's a lot easier to just use photobucket.
