I'm looking at a few older guilds, one a late 70s x-175. I've read here that this model came with maple and mahogany necks at different times. Any of you folks played both types, and could comment on the differences, tonally?
Regarding p/us. I'm assuming late 70s would be the full size HB-1 Guild humbuckers. Are other humbuckers interchangeable with that? Not that I'd plan on such a thing, but would like to know.
