As much as its an abomination, there was a fair bit of time where a Guild S65 was worth roughly nothing so it would have been a good choice for such a project. If you're playing in a band with a steampunk vibe it would probably be a cool guitar. I actually kind of like the look, though they lost me when they removed the tailpiece and made it string-thru.

Thanks Gary! That's a very thorough article. I have heard the term over the years, but never really pursued finding out what it meant. I am not a huge fan of science fiction, but I certainly recognize the style in art, film and design.
