I realized today that I spend too much time thinking about guitars, talking about guitars, searching the Internet for guitars, and not enough time actually enjoying the ones I have.

This is not healthy. It must stop.

My New Year's resolution is to sell half of what I own, and enjoy the guitars I like the most. No more chasing after the "perfect one".

The perfect guitar is the one that's in your hands.

I came to the same conclusion about three years ago and have not looked back.

Neal,

Weren't you downsizing just earlier this year ?

My advice would be to discard the guitars that overlap in style and tone. You sent me your D-55 because the F47R covered that area for you. Just keep the "tools" you need, that put a smile on your face, and share your wealth with others who still need that tool.

I only have four and I played all but one today. But I still want one more. But yeah.... there's a difference between playing and dreaming. Stay calm. Focus. Let me know if that works, okay? :encouragement:

Well, it's all enjoyment, but yeah, they're made to be played.

Neal. What happened? Did three wise guys bearing gifts stop by your house on their way to somewhere else?

my guess is he will keep:

the D35, obviously
the F20
the F50
the Orf

all others are goners :) though I am not even sure re the Orf...and I bet he unloads up to 1 of the H&Ds...and at least 1 of electrics...

this is going to be fun to watch.

I dunno', Neal, I find that thinking, talking and searching really helps me enjoy what I have. But then again, I don't have anywhere near what you have.

Merry Christmas!

Boy it's a good thing nobody ever expects anybody to keep their resolutions, eh?
