what a 1962 Guild M-20 would look like, if it were refinished in 2016, with a color that was only available during 1969-1973 (for that particular model)?

well if so, here is your answer:

thanks guys! i don't have her back just yet. we are going to wait untli after the holidays to ship, and be sure to steer clear of any extreme weather that may be in the forecast. but the pictures are looking real nice. and yes i think that may be a mystical reflection of Westerly's finest in the photo!

Bless you for doing this, dude. Seriously, I love to see these ancient guitars brought back to their former glory!!! I don't need mojo or anything. You can bestow your OWN mojo on this amazing little guitar!!! WOW!!! :encouragement::encouragement: Years and years for this one!!!

what color and finish did it have in '62?

in would have been satin finish in 1962 colored brown/mahogany/walnut, like this guitar:

but I wanted it to be cherry like Hans' guitar from 1970, featured here:

When I first acquired the guitar, it already had been refinished, but was a botched job and needed to be done over!

It sounded pretty sweet when I gave it to them (but the neck was all sticky so I could barely play it for more than 20 minutes or so).

They are telling me it sounds noticably even better now, which I believe, somehow, because there was many many heavy coats of heavy, tacky, finish on there, before. I am imaginining it is probably louder at least. like I said its not back in my hands just yet.

Another "wow".
I will congratulate the man in person next month hopefully.... He is really good at giving you the feeling that you're getting a brand new old guitar, as I got with a couple of mine. ;)

My, Oh My!!!! Is that absolutely beautiful or what?

I would call that a BIG "HELL YES!!" to refinishing a vintage guitar.
