]In light of my recently-acquired taste for "old-school" Guild archtops, I am offering up this more modern rendition for sale.

1998 late-Westerly X-170, with SD-1's. Mint condition, with the exception of a small filled hole where the neck strap pin was moved to the heel. Bridge is adjusted almost all the way down, which would make it a perfect candidate for a Bibsby/Guildsby. That had been my plan, until fate intervened in the form of a '54 X-150.

Nut width is 1 11/16" and the scale length is 24.75".

Case is in excellent shape, with a few small dings here and there. The maple on this guitar is very flamey, even on the neck. Playability is superb.

$1050, shipped anywhere in CONUS.

Sorry about the quality of these photos...they were taken with my phone. I would be happy to provide some better pics for anyone interested.

Neal, your phone pics beat the hell out of my camera pics. I wish I were more into electric gear. This looks really sweet as does the price.

If I didn't already have the StarFire with probably the same pickups, I would be sending you a PM.

These are absolutely fantastic guitars. I also have a '98 and mine now has a Bigsby on it. You need to have a low bridge but it works but they play like melted butter. Just smooooth!

It implies that the neck angle is shallow, which is a good thing if the addition of a Bigsby is desired.

I also have it strung with heavy jazz strings (12-52), which are exerting considerable pull, so set up is at least part of the overall picture.
